Customer has a product which is used by a number of companies for mission critical implementation. The problem was to maintain the level of quality assurance while keeping the cost down.
The process was to manually verify each of the customer reported cases fixed in the product in this release as well as all the previous releases.
Plasma deployed a test chain automation process, which involved creating small models for testing the integrity of product produced for the most current release. These test chain had models for each of the defects fixed in this release as well as old releases.
Using scripts the test chains can be run overnight producing results QA team analysis in the morning. This helped reduce the manual intervention to only cases when the product failed to pass a particular test case.
