Plasma has begun its annual Summer Internship Program in July. The program will last 3 weeks and will include interns of middle to high school levels. Some interns are returning from previous years, while others will be attending for the first time.

Interns will begin the program by learning the history and ideals of the Internet of things. They will learn about the programming, monitoring and developing sectors of IoT and smart technology. Classes and activities will be held by internal Plasma professionals to show insight about IoT and its importance to the future.

Next, the interns will visit with Plasma’s design team. During these classes, they will learn everything from design theory to design implementation. The interns are encouraged to create their own company, from logo to website design with help from the Plasma Design team. Next, they learn how to build these designs into HTML.

The last stop is digital marketing. Interns will work with Plasma’s marketing department to learn about current social media and digital marketing strategies. They then will apply what they learn to their mock companies. They will do competitive analyses and develop in-depth digital marketing strategies that will help grow their company.

To end the Summer Internship Program, all interns will develop a professional presentation to show to the entire Plasma team. Their presentation will explain their company and showcase a complete website and marketing strategy. Plasma is very happy to have the opportunity to work with the professionals of the future and hopes to continue this program for many years to come.
